Word of Mouth Referrals and a Reminder

  • September 23, 2016

Today is not just on of THOSE days. Today is THE day!cue-block

The CUE hotel room block for group rates closes today!  Don’t miss the discounted room rates and take a minute to check out this really gracious referral for our conference from our member/partners at Projections Inc.

SEE YOU IN DALLAS?

I’m talking about the CUE conference  in Dallas, home of my fellow alumni, Dak Prescott, QB  for the Cowboys. Yes, I am a graduate of Mississippi State, and are you really asking me, “what is CUE?” Michael VanDervort, Executive Director, says “CUE is a non-profit, member-run organization dedicated to assisting companies that believe that their employees deserve a workplace that is built around flexibility, productivity, quality of work life, fairness, the opportunity to participate in decisions affecting one’s future and the opportunity to succeed.”

BIG THINGS HAPPEN HERE

Ok, that’s the motto for the city of Dallas, but if you are a labor or employee relations professional, then you owe it to yourself and your company to attend this twice-annual event. Don’t wait until Spring of 2017; that’s when those other procrastinators go. Go now, from October 16-18, 2016.  I know that the fact that I will be there is a HUGE reason to attend, but I am not the only one. Try about 250 of what I can honestly call my friends from virtually every industry, and companies ranging from small businesses to large Fortune 100 employers. Networking with this group is potentially more valuable than the content of the dozens of educational sessions and guest speakers that make up the two and a half days.

IN CASE YOU LIKE ACRONYMS… I GIVE YOU HRCI AND SHRM

That’s right… if four letter acronyms trip your trigger, then how about up to 13.25 Recertification / Professional Development Credits?  You know what I’m talking about. right? Good. because PHR, SPHR, GPHR, SHRM-CPSM and FBI, CIA, and NBC are all important letters.

So, who is coming, for real?

Phil Miscimarra, NLRB Board Member

Gerry Fernandez, MFHA Cultural Intelligence

Mark Floyd, JD SPHR/CA, Senior Director, Global Labor Relations at Uber

Vinnie Vernuccio, Director of Labor Policy at Mackinac Center for Public Policy

and many, many more .

Well, this is called theShort; so I can’t just go on and on… Did I mention the conference is two and half days long, come talk to me there.
