Update that just came in from Politico Pro:
A Colorado fire sprinkler installer violated federal labor law when it ceased paying into a union benefit fund after the expiration of a union contract, a divided NLRB ruled Friday.
Colorado Fire Sprinkler Inc. will now have to recognize and bargain with a United Association local while also paying union workers the withheld benefits, the decision said.
The board majority agreed with an administrative law judge’s ruling that a 2005 agreement between the parties obligated CFS to bargain a new contract with the union.
