According to a report from Politico Pro this afternoon, President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team will announce who will lead the Labor Department transition by next Wednesday, according to a press call.
It had been previously been reported that President-elect Donald Trump has named J. Steven Hart, a longtime Washington lobbyist who focuses on tax and employee benefits, as the leader of his labor transition team. According to this new report, it is unclear whether that has changed.
According to the Politico report:
The Labor Department is one of multiple targets for Trump’s “domestic landing team;” the others include the departments of energy, agriculture, education, interior, housing and urban development, health and human services, homeland security and the EPA.
The chart above, clipped from an internal team document shows some of the names of those purported to be part of the so-called landing team.
