It’s been a hectic week in labor relations land.

I’m writing this on Thursday evening at what should be dinner time, 6 PM to be specific, and I’m afraid I may getting ahead of myself in what my topic for the week should be. It’s been a busy week so far and it isn’t over yet. Therefore, I’m going to default to an old blogger trick that is good for creating a post and driving traffic. It’s a time honored strategy called “The List”. Here’s a list of the top 5 labor stories of the week.

1.     Boeing Wins in South Carolina! (Congratulations!!!)

2.     Machinists Take One on the Chin

3.     Puzder quits. Fight for $15 celebrates with protests.

4.     Acosta In! Most Progressives say “meh”. (PS – AFL-CIO says, well…maybe)

5.     Right to Work Fails to Pass in New Hampshire

Kind of a mixed bag of goodies there. But not to worry, the UAW is intensifying it efforts to unionize the automotive industry. Things will remain interesting in the days to come.
